Dress Redo #2

So, now that my first year of college is done, I have about two weeks (little less now) before heading to Jacksonville Fl for the summer!!! I probably have about a billion projects I want to do before I leave.

This dress was one of them. There really was not much to change except it was a bit too long, so I took the hem up a little.
To change the hem I turned it inside out,
Cut off the existing hem (If I did this over again I would wait until  I had sewen it then cut it off, I think that would have been easier)
Then I pinned a new hem line,
And put it on to check the fit and length,
Sorry for the awkward picture {(little brothers are not the beatsadly this was the best one) (also I attempted to long board hence the gauze taped to my right ankle, key word attempted)}

Then I stitched it up and called it good!

I almost didn't try this one on when I was at goodwill but I am a sucker for a good vintage floral! Also it was half off so total I think I spent $2 on it and like 15 min hemming it. That's pretty much my favorite kind of thrifting.

I forgot to mention IT HAS PRE-EXISTING POCKETS!!! I have a rule that if I am ever trying to decide whether or not to buy a dress, if it has pockets I buy it, if not I don't. That sounds crazy but pockets can be justified as more practicable and therefore make it a necessary purchase!

Love Becca
